Non-sequitir
Jul. 8th, 2005 01:46 pmThe trees are swishing back and forth in the wind outside.
I can see them from my view at the circ desk.
Hardly anyone is in the library today.
I finally set up my fish tank in the office last week. Picked up two fan-tailed goldfish for it, and they have managed to survive two full weeks so far. I was going to name them after two of librarians here, but decided against it in the end. Instead, their names are Lumpy and Blinky. Blinky is the gold/white fish, and Lumpy is the black fish. They seem happy enough.
We saw War of the Worlds last weekend. The special effects were very nice- but the movie overall was ok-so-so. LOVE the tripods though, and the noise they made. :)I will probably see Fantastic 4 this weekend or next week. I will probably wait for Dark Water (aka: single mom moves into cheap apartment and seems indifferent to the horror) to open in the dollar theater, because while I love horror/suspense movies- this one looks iffy.
Oh, and let's not forget the lovely cone of death (# whatever) that's swirling it's way past us. While I don't want it to hit us (and it looks like it won't) some of that rain/cooler air would be nice since the weather in Florida could be described as an oven.
Bleh.
