The front doors to the library are acting up again. I can hear them clanging shut repeatedly from here. It's a wonder that they haven't managed to crush anyone when they act up.

Surprisingly, this morning's weather was nice and cool. I don't hold much hope that it will stay- still too early for our 'season' (if you can call it that) of cold weather in South Florida. [livejournal.com profile] mxlplx and I saw Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan on Friday. I don't think i've seen a movie that funny, sad and scary in a long time. And yeah, I know quite a bit of editing went into the movie- but editing really doesn't cover some of the statements made and reactions displayed during the hour and 24 minutes it ran for. I think that the rodeo sequence is probably the point in the movie where things sober up tremendously. The box office numbers ($26.4 million) for it this weekend place it at #1- but when your main competition is another cheap Tim Allen holiday sequel, and a CG movie Flushed Away that(while it looks to be good) hasn't had anywhere near the same amount of advertising, that figure may mean nothing except an increase in theaters for the following week. Currently, it's playing in less than a thousand theaters (837 to be exact), but that number will likely increase due to opening weekend success.

I did end up seeing another movie this weekend- The Departed. Another good movie, with a body count that rivals any one of the GRRM novels. Come to think of it, there have been quite a few good movies out lately.

Finally-

For those of you who have been asking-

As i've already been asked about it 3-4 times already within the past few weeks, here are my answers:
Yes, my birthday is this month. I am well aware of that.
No, I have no idea what I want.
I think I might want to go to The Melting Pot on that day, but i'm not sure. We'll see.
Anyone who wants to meet up on the day is more than welcome to. You know who to contact. :P

Back to work now.
