Babykiller: He's a hero.

If you automatically know what I am referencing with that journal entry, then you might be interested in hearing (if you have not heard about it already) that we may very well see a Champions MMORPG sometime in the next year or two. Now, I know that [livejournal.com profile] unsigned has already stated to me that he'll be grabbing it the minute it's available. I'm holding off until there is a little more to go on. But I am interested in finding out how many of you think you'll pick it up when it comes out. Anybody?

The people I play CoH with would all have to leave, honestly. Part of the fun of CoH is the people I play it with. :D

Yeah. I think that's going to be the response most people give. That, or picking it up as a second game to alternate between. I actually re-installed CoH again when I switched machines, but I haven't reactivated the account. I miss flying (and jumping!) though.
I think as more information comes out (regarding in-game mechanics) I will probably have a better idea as to whether or not i'll pick it up and try it out for a little while.

I'll play it. I love Champions. If it has the same range of character design as the PnP, heck even if it just has a significant chunk of it, I'll play.

And it has to have some more variation to its world then CoX. It just has to, doesn't it?

Please let it...

Oh, and...

I wonder how heavily they will enforce a heroic bent. Just because there will undoubtedly be those who want to play "Baby-Killer."

buzz is that this will have the fluff, but not the mechanics

[identity profile] evilstoryteller.livejournal.com 2008-03-20 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. They don't have much on the website yet about the mechanics, and I think once they put in those details, you'll see more people saying yes or no as far as purchasing it.

I don't expect the full character creation mechanics to play well in an MMO. Just hoping whatever they use will have a similar level of flexibility. At least more then your normal MMO.

One would hope it has more variation (as far as instanced and non-instanced mission/look/feel/play)than what's in CoV or CoH, yes. If the screen shots are any indication, it is going to be at the least, very pretty.

I did not say I would buy it right away.
I said, if it's like the PnP I will buy it right away.

Otherwise, pffpfptppt.

(p.s. I'm going solely based on how the people that play the PnP rave about it, since I've never touched it.)
