Mr. Muggles comes to visit, pt. 3

We found him this morning, just outside the house. He's on the back porch now, with food, water, and a blanket all his own. Nara is probably staring at him, through the sliding glass door as I type this. I plan on cleaning him up when I get back to the house- he has some mats on /around his mane, is very dirty, and is in desperate need of a pedicure. So cute. We already have two different people who are interested in taking him in (provided he gets along with their respective dogs).

Once it comes out, I will have to find somebody equally as cheesy to read while waiting for the next Martin book.

I will say that it is funny with or without the sound, but that's just me.

and other fans. As long as your friends and family do not decide
to cobble together the final book from your incomplete writings, that is.

Even with the sound off, it's funny.

Thankfully, the patch of grass the school has reserved (in front of the main library) to jam 3000 4" x 3" flags as a makeshift memorial have reminded me to leave the tv off today when I get home.

Visually, it's my favorite area of the park.

Still have more photos to post from the mini-vacation, but the first chunk are all up. Some of them even feature non-seuss things, like Orlando's Kwik-E-Mart. Which, while neat, was very crowded, and could have had a little more done to it. But it was still neat to visit.

We put Shithead to sleep today. She was 18. She was the sweetest cat ever. Her original name was Hobbes (and that was the name given every time we took her to the vet), but the name that stuck was Shithead- I suppose this is to be expected when everyone in the house uses swearwords as a part of everyday speech. She had been reluctant to eat lately, and instead of eating she would drink water. So we took her to the same veterinarian we took Princey to. After running tests, the vet told us one kidney had shriveled up, and the other was swollen. Then they told us she had kidney/ renal failure. The same reason Princey died. I feel absolutely horrible. She was still conscious- she knew I was there. It was very hard to make the decision, with her like that. I know it was for the best, better that she didn't suffer. But that doesn't make me feel any less horrible. She's buried next to Princey now. Secretly I hope she is someplace better, but the cynic in me says otherwise. I hope the cynic in me is wrong.

Heard it on NPR this morning. Target is now selling wedding dresses for under $200, and they actually look nice. Nothing too frou frou, or fancy (think clean lines) but nice still. I personally have no intention of marrying any time soon (and if I were, i'd still go with my idea of a 20's gangster themed wedding, red food coloring/water loaded squirt guns and all)...but if I were, and I suddenly decided to change my mind about a theme wedding, I would seriously consider one of these.
